Explosion-proof distribution switching station type RKSV is designed for power supply, remote and local control of electric drives of mechanisms of coal mining complexes and other current collectors in alternating current networks with an isolated neutral in underground workings of mines hazardous due to gas and/or coal dust.
The RKSV station is explosion-proof with intrinsically safe circuits for connecting sensors, as well as control and alarm circuits, has explosion protection markings - PB Exd[ia]l X or PB Exd [ia op is]l X and can be used in mines hazardous for gas and/or or coal dust, in accordance with the requirements of Federal standards and regulations in the field of industrial safety.

The RKSV station is a modular design consisting of an input device of one of three types and attached low voltage modules.
The equipment provides
- input and connection of power cable
- indication of the presence of voltage at the input (for type 2)
- mechanical and electrical interlocks (disconnector-door-switching device)
- electrical protection in ANSI codes (27, 50, 59, 79, etc.)
- blocking of a switching device disabled by protections
- possibility of connecting external protections
- checking the serviceability of protections
- signaling and indication of operating modes (currents, voltages)
- technical metering of electricity
- data transmission and the ability to control the switching device from the dispatcher's workstation via the RS-485 interface (Modbus protocol)
- logging emergency events and parameter changes
Completeness
Depending on the list of tasks performed, the RKSV station can be equipped with one or more modules (with the obligatory presence of an input device). The modules are interchangeable and, in case of repair, it is possible to replace only the non-working module, without the need to transport the entire station.
