The advantages of birch include its unique patterned surface with interesting curls and dots. The shade of the raw material ranges from light yellow to light brown and is characterized by a light silky sheen. Today, birch is very common in Europe and North America. Birch timber is in great demand due to its availability, beauty and excellent performance properties. This tree does not have a clearly defined core. Wood is susceptible to damage by microorganisms. However, in certain cases this is even beneficial, because its decorative properties increase. In a number of physical parameters, birch is similar to beech. But birch timber is characterized by low resistance to negative environmental influences.
