Pork casing is the small intestine of pigs, cleared of ballast layers and preserved with table salt. It acquires smell and taste after heat treatment (frying, cooking sausages). Packaging and labeling are adapted and contain information in English.
The shelf life of manufactured pork casings preserved with table salt is 12 months at ambient temperature.
