Explosion-proof soft starter type UPPV
UPPV is intended for use in three-phase electrical networks of alternating current of industrial frequency with an isolated neutral of the transformer in coal mines hazardous due to gas (methane) and/or coal dust, for remote soft starting and stopping of three-phase asynchronous electric motors, as well as for protecting them from overload and short circuit currents in outgoing power circuits.

The UPPV performs the following functions:
- ensuring contactless starting and dynamic braking of three-phase electric motors by phase voltage regulation;
- 0,reduced starting current and shock torque, to reduce the amplitude of voltage fluctuations in the supply network during startup;
- the ability to start pumps, fans, conveyors and other equipment;
- a digital control system containing a PID current controller that maintains the motor stator current at a given level during engine starting and stopping;
- a system for regulating the starting process with OOS, using information about the stator current of the electric motor from the phase current sensors of the device and other soft starter control sensors;
- programming control parameters; allowing you to set the desired current or voltage curve at start-up;
- a smooth stop algorithm that eliminates harmful dynamic effects of drive mechanisms during shutdown, for example, water hammer in pumping units;
- control of the switching device in local, remote and telecontrol modes;
- electrical protection* (27, 50, 59, 79, etc.);
- protection against checksum error of data from the parameter menu located in EEPROM;
- self-diagnosis when power is applied and monitoring the state of the connection during operation; measurement of electricity parameters at the point of connection;
- monitoring the health of the remote control circuits of the switching device (KA);
- control of the number of spacecraft switchings;
- control of connection operating time;
- monitoring the performance of protection channels;
- control of start-up time and connection starting current;
- protection against the absence of all three signals from the network phase control unit;
- protection against the absence of a signal of the corresponding phase from the network phase control unit;
- protection against failure of the engine to reach rated speed during the starting characteristic;
- protection against synchronization failure from the network phase control unit;
- protection against excess temperature of thyristors;
- displaying information about the connection status on the display unit;
- communication with the remote control device via the RS-485 interface using the Modbus RTU protocol;
